Grade 3 Scientists Visit Our Lab ...

Integrated Nanotechnology Lab @ KAUST has hosted 90 students from Grade-3 of The KAUST Schools (TKS).

"Grade 3 students learned about energy research, mixing solutions, microchips, nano tubes, the difference between amorphous and crystalline, and clean attire. The experiences gave these excited 8 and 9 year old students an opportunity to better understand the steps in the scientific process, develop real-life applications and understand what that can mean for us as we explore ways to improve our lives and the lives of others."  by Rebecca Johnson, Elementary Grade 3 Teacher in The Wave Issue 130 pp. 2 (20th March 2014).

Interacting with TKS students is a great experience for us. Senior grade students from TKS have helped in many of our research projects and when the children come from TKS we have the opportunity to raise one of our philosophy further, "Research which can be explained to anyone" ...
